Where I live has a Home Owner's Association (HOA) that's well-meaning, but occasionally you get put on the wrong list. We got put on the list of homeowners who haven't finished their back yard yet. Come on guys, we have to put in a patio and it's been SNOWING for the past 4 months! Grr.
I went in and appealed the fine, and they dropped all but $50. Which is nice. But we still get to pay the legal fees. Stupid laywers.
